Its official, from the makers of the growing platform “Android” i.e. Google, comes another phone- Nexus One, quite cool for a name. Obviously, as seen in the images, the phone looks really good. The screen is slightly bigger than the all time compared iPhone and the body is little thin as well. Not sure whether it’s multitouch or not but reports conclude that the touchscreen is amazing and really sensitive.

If you have had experience of a normal touchscreen before then this phone will take you to the next level in touch, well, of course as aggregated by its users on the internet i.e. 20,000 Google employees.

Display screen is formed of OLED’s rather than the conventional LED display and the background seen in the images can interact with finger gestures and is completely dynamic.

It will run on the latest Android OS made yet that is the Android 2.1 operating system. But one of its significant features is that it offers OpenGL ES 2.0 support, which with its advance programmable accelerated 3D graphics, makes this phone a killer for gamers. The phone also incorporates all other additional features which are common nowadays like Camera (5 Megs with auto focus and LED), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro SD card support etc.

One drawback which is prominent in the iPhone is covered up in this device that is its memory can be expanded and it also equipped with an exchangeable battery.

Google still has this phone in its testing stage and according to reports are planning to release two versions of the device- one with a service contract with T-Mobile USA and the other unlocked version which will be available in the other parts of the globe.

Sony-Ericsson-Phone k950i

Sony Ericsson has some new phones coming with big Bravia touchscreen. The first in this series will be K950i, with a multi-touch interface. The phone is made for the movie addicts. It plays High-Definition videos and is capable of playing both landscape or portrait  modes. Perfect for watching movies. A large screen display with HD playback makes it a “cinema phone”.

iPhone and Nokia x6 will be a option in the market, so Sony should really pack it up with some cool things.

Nokia facet concept

The Nokia Facet Concept phone comes with a whole new concept of touchscreen. It is also been called as “Black Facet” sometimes. The phone has a gem look, with a glossy screen. The phone is the concept work of Knot design, with a new touch experience.

The phone has “facets” (Facets are flat faces on geometric shapes) which hides the keyboard and gives it a gem look. Multimedia connectivity is supported in the device. The phone is a bit square-ish and short which makes it more elegant.

The facet cleverly hides the keypad making it cooler and enhances the appeal of multi-faced gems. The phone is fully touchscreen and just the same size of ipod shuffle. It supports all multimedia formats, and can even play movies. The screen is very vibrant in display and gives “facet” effect.

There are no information about the memory and camera in Nokia “Facet”. The pictures reveal that there is no camera in the phone. It is just a exchange for ipod shuffle.

The phone is setup for release in 2011. It is expected to cost around 135$, which is not too heavy on the pocket.

First, the processor chip by the name of Aramex I guess, that iPhones 1g(classic), 2g(3G) and 3g(3GS) have been using has also been upgraded generation on generation. The latest report has come that it has again been upgraded with faster clock speeds and it could be put in conjuction with a 5MP cam.
Now it is “speculated” that the 2009 iPhone (4th gen.) is supposedly gonna use this upgraded chip.

The  The phone comes with a 4.1 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen with multi-touch feature. The multi-touch feature is a new concept in the phones with iPhone as the most popular in series.

Nokia CLIPit, new concept phone from nokia scheduled for 2010. Want a phone which is futuristic and elegant, both sci-fi and scheduled for 2010? The phone is designed and created by Mohammad Zamani, Ziba Hemmati, Mir Kazem khalifezadeh, Ali Khajuee and Rasul Shokrani and it’s made out of brushed steel and “smart fabrics”, that create a 12 inch screen. The phone also features a DOT MATRIX screen, a steel touch screen with light emitting diodes that generates dynamic navigation keys. The device is named for its feature that it can be clipped in any clothing, purse or even objects.

What’s really puzzling about Nokia is that its 3 inch flexible cloth screen, that can be turned into 12 inch screen, thanks to the Philips Lumative technology. The dynamic navigation keys can perform all functions like dialing a number, to play/pause music. The phone is just like the i pod shuffle and has a steel finish due to its fabrications. It resembles the i pod shuffle when closed.
